Something Good

Yep, it’s another Sunday song—this one is SO GOOD, and peppy!  Lyrics below 🙂

The Tinker

Tinker: formerly a person (traditionally a Gypsy) who traveled from place to place mending pots and kettles and other metal utensils as a way to earn a living.

Gypsy tinker tramps his rounds

Hill and vale to homey hollers

Makes his presence known with songs

Sung loud and lusty, luring lasses…

Ageless, blushing behind scrubbed hands.

As he doffs hued hat, tall tale embellishing

His gnarled brown fingers move like magic

Fix what’s broken, polish tarnish, mend

Hearts bent and bruised, sore broken…

Kind words, wise verses, joke or two.

Then, few coins collected after simple meal

Tips cap again, leaves everyone merry.

Day’s Review

Bedtime, review day

Can’t make edits like on posts

Murmur gratitude

Don’t overplay lesser hours

Receive God’s offered mercy

What’s Imagined Often Outshines Dim Reality

Convenience can lead us to ruin

6-Word Saturday:

What’s imagined often outshines dim reality ~

Trite tale too familiar, true, this

Young girl dreamed of married bliss

Rushed into love, ignored glaring risk

Should have second-guessed that first kiss

Harsh lesson learned, trust lost, missed

Prince Charming wish spun dark twist

Vague Eventually

Prompt: Eventually

Nebulous non-times

Like “someday”, “later”, poor vague

Give me structure, calendar’s

Neat square boxes: dates, o’clocks!

Gives me hives, anxiety

It’s impossible

For me to serve dinner, or

Attend events at “six-ish”
